General Quesions
Not intentionally. If we are, we will attempt ...
Not intentionally. If we are, we will attempt to correct that as we really hope to make the process work better rather than to attempt to "thwart" the conscience of AA as a whole.
If the suggestions we develop on this site are rejected after they've been heard, we recognize that the group conscience of AA has spoken.
We are only trying to foster communications to help in the creation of an informed group conscience.
If you feel we've in any way violated the process for the evolution of the group's conscience, please participate in our forum and let us know your concerns.

Most importantly, you can offer you thoughtful reflection and response in the items we have in our discussion areas.
Also, if you wish, you can offer financial support, after you're a registered member.

We are of varied opinions.
Some of us feel that our 12 Traditions and 12 Concepts are sacrosanct and should not be changed one little bit.
Other of us feel that the Traditions are fine but that, as is suggested by Bill and allowed by our existing conference process (outlined in the Concepts and our Charter), we can and should change what has proven problematic with our Concepts and/or Charter.
Others think that something more radical may be required.
Many take different positions on these (and many other) issues as thoughts change and arguments are developed.

No.
We know that some people think that Alcoholics Anonymous is either causing harm in the world or ineffective in terms of helping alcoholics to recover from alcoholism.
While we are of varied opinions about the effectiveness of AA in our society today and what, if anything, should be done to correct problems with AA, we generally agree that AA can and should be changed rather than eliminated.

NO!!!
Sorry - we probably shouldn't yell about this but in no way is aarenewal.org representing any part of Alcoholics Anonymous or the AA service structure. For all things related to AA, you should contact www.aa.org. We do not claim any sort of relationship with AA in any sort of official or unofficial capacity. While we may be members, we are only that.
That said, many the members of this site are AA members and some have a reverence and/or regard for the AA program. Some may credit AA with saving their lives as problem drinkers.

It depends.
We are all volunteers so, if you've submitted either an article or a forum item and it's not been moderated (Forum) or published (main site), it's likely that we've just not gotten around to it yet.
If it's been a long time (more than 2 weeks) and you've not heard anything from anyone at our site, it could mean that it either got lost or it was decided that it needed further review. Fee free to contact at (some email form needs to go here) us and we'll try to get you an answer as to where your contribution is.
